Kumon invests in Victoria’s next generation of scientists

Kumon Australia and New Zealand is proud to announce its Diamond Sponsorship of the Science Talent Search in Victoria.

The Science Talent Search (STS) is an annual competition organised by the Science Teachers’ Association of Victoria. The competition aims to encourage school students in the pursuit of science studies and hopes to give the next generation of youths an opportunity to communicate their achievements, and be recognised for excellence in science.

Through this sponsorship, Kumon contributed $8,000 to the competition’s student bursary winning prizes. Scott Quilty, Division Leader of Kumon Victoria, says that Kumon is proud to be making this investment in the next generation of scientists.

“As Kumon students come to expect the challenge of something new, gain satisfaction in working it out for themselves and develop a mindset that no problem is too difficult to attempt, we are proud to support an organisation that promotes scientific inquiry amongst children in Victoria”, he says.
